Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku accuses the government of significantly increasing the price of fuel.
In her speech to the assembly, Tabaku spoke about the Transparency Board, which sets ceiling prices for oil, gasoline and gas. The big fuel owners sit at a table with the government and set prices to the detriment of Albanians, she points out.
“A board with no power taken by any law, where the government has months setting prices. The surprise has happened in recent days, when a large portion of fuel has a lower price than that set by the Board. “A meeting like in communism where the owners sit with the government, setting prices to the detriment of the citizens.”
According to the MP, the same thing is happening with the products of the basket, while she adds that “it takes courage to talk about these problems out loud”, meaning the connection of MPs with the owners of different companies.
“The government makes a normative act where it compensates construction companies with 80 million euros. To the companies of friends, family, ministers!
These are to the detriment of the citizens. Who cares about the citizens. Who talks about the public interest. These are issues that interest Albanians.
Many have their mouths shut here, not talking about fuel companies. “Today, the citizens need the deputies to have the courage to raise their voices.”
