School students in Chile are starting their winter vacation, while the whole situation has taken a turn with the violent protests that are taking place due to high fees.
Several high schools were set on fire because of the youth revolt during the clash with the police. They did not even spare the city buses during their march.
This is not the first time that students hold violent protests, as according to Reuters in June the high school in Santiago was temporarily closed due to severe violence, including the burning of the principal’s office.
The students say that the fee is too high and the education system is not at the right levels, especially recently.
Chile has been hit in recent years by violent student protests over anger they have about the education system.
The pandemic has also influenced this situation, while psychologists are concerned about the increase in cases of violence by young people.
