Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha started this Wednesday with a photo of the detainees of the January 8 protest, who appeared before the court.
Berisha has published a photo, where he shows his supporters with two fingers up and smiling.
Based on the court videos, the photo was taken by MP Albana Vokshi, who may have sent it to Berisha.
Shouts “Basha ik!” were heard from the detainees, who are waiting to receive the measure from the Court of Tirana.
The 34 arrested during the violent protest on January 8 have appeared in court today. Surprisingly they have appeared smiling, while among them is also the rapper Stress.
According to sources, the prosecution requests for 29 persons the measure “Obligation to appear”, while for five of them “House arrest”.
Among the arrested persons are also citizens from Kosovo.
According to the accusations that have been filed, it turns out that 11 of those arrested are supporters of Basha and 23 others of Berisha.
On Saturday, the Democratic Party headquarters was violently attacked by Sali Berisha supporters who responded to his call to protest the removal of leader Lulzim Basha.
Broken windows and shattered doors by any means possible, that was the tragic look of that Saturday.
