Jess Daly is a photojournalist who shared some of the photos taken during her stay in Ukraine.
She spent three weeks around the city of Dnipro in June, where she stayed with the Medical Group of Hospitals.
“I was settled in different towns and villages. There was constant shelling, regardless of where the shells were landing and who they were targeting. It was barbaric”, tEat Daly.
The photojournalist has stated that an ambulance worker with whom she stayed died while participating in an evacuation.
“It’s very, very dangerous for them. They are volunteers, they do it out of passion for their people and their country, although they are under constant threat. They put their lives on the line regardless.” she added further.
A hospital that Daly had visited in Avdiivka, near Donetsk, has been destroyed by bombing. Of the 26,000 people who lived there, only 2,000 remained.
According to the BBC, Jess said she plans to return to the same location with the group of volunteers at the end of November.
