Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has again commented on the decree of the new president, Bajram Begaj by the current president Ilir Meta.
Meta signed Begaj’s dismissal as Chief of General Staff while in Turkey.
“He reminded me of Ali Pasha, the body in Ioannina and the head in Istanbul.” said Berisha.
Following this action, his name was sent to a vote in Parliament, where he was elected head of state with 78 votes. Begaj is expected to officially take office on July 25.
