A 43-year-old man has been arrested in Murriqan, after he tried to pass a suspected bag of cannabis, in the direction of Montenegro.
Border Police Services at BCP Muriqan, in implementation of additional measures to increase control in order to prevent and crack down on illegality that may take place at border crossing points, have passed for detailed control, in the second line, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, a vehicle with which it was suspected that narcotics could be transported.
During the control exercised in the vehicle type “Benz”, driven by the citizen SK, 25 years old and passenger citizen Sh. K., 43 years old, in the bag of the latter, the Border Police services have found and seized a quantity of suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa.
At the end of the actions, the specialists of the Section for Investigation of Trafficking and Narcotics in DVP Shkodra made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen Sh. K., 43 years old, resident in Librazhd, for the criminal offense “Narcotics Trafficking”, remained in custody.
The materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Shkodra Court of First Instance for further action.
