Kushtrim Sinani is an Albanian citizen who was arrested for cultivating narcotics on December 5, 2021 in Great Britain.
The 30-year-old was caught on a cannabis farm, with 128 illegal plants, which if sold after harvest, would be worth mijë 90,000.
According to British media, Sinan was sentenced to 27 months in prison, while before the judges he expressed remorse, while he said that in Albania he had left his brother, since working in the mine he remained disabled.
Asylum expert Islam Khan has told of Sinan’s difficult past, which forced him to rejoin grass houses in England.
“He comes from a poor family and knows the consequences related to his deportation to Albania, where he had previously worked in the mine and could not help his elderly parents from the income he received. He also has a disabled brother, who lost one leg during an accident at the mine. The defendant came to the UK illegally, in the back of a truck after he had borrowed to enter England. “He was forced to work on a cannabis farm and there was no other choice because of the debt,” Khan told a court in Leicester.
