A 51-year-old man identified with the initials F.Sh., resident in Bilisht, has been prosecuted by the Korça police for the criminal offense “Illegal employment”.
During the control exercised in the city of Bilisht, in the tailoring entity that administers, it turned out that two employees were not included in the compulsory insurance scheme, avoiding the tax liabilities of the entity.
The materials in their charge were passed to the Prosecution Offices of the Judicial Districts of Korça and Pogradec, for further actions.
Today, the Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj was in Bilisht to give a solution to the problem of tailoring employees.
She explained that “The government is committed to respecting the law. We are in support of employees to respect working conditions. Employees are paid for 22 days while they work 28 working days, in violation of the labor code, Saturday and Sunday are not paid 25% more. “
A few days ago, over 100 employees of a tailoring factory in the town of Bilisht protested because they did not receive the minimum wage according to the law.
Although the employer makes their payments through the banking system the employees showed that the payment they receive is less than what is provided by law based on working days per month.
