“Hasta la vista, baby! Thank you”, these were the last words of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister in the House of British Parliament.
Johnson said he would use his final weeks in office to “advance the agenda they were elected on in 2019.
“We’ve helped, I’ve helped this country get through a pandemic and I’ve helped save another country from barbarism. And frankly, that’s enough to go on. Mission accomplished. I want to thank all the wonderful staff of the House of Commons, I want to thank all my friends and colleagues, thank you all”said Boris Johnson.
In the meantime, Conservative MPs have started voting to choose the final two candidates vying to replace Boris Johnson.
