Within the week of Greek culture, several activities have taken place in Tirana, but not only, but also in some other cities of our country.
From concerts to sports competitions, citizens have the opportunity to be part of the activities until May 29.
“We started the week of Greek culture with a concert that was opened by a 9-year-old pianist who composes his own music, then we continued with paintings in ceramics. The Amazonian myth that includes art, dance and theater was held in Apollonia and at the amphitheater on the lake in Tirana. Kosta Zhoga is painting with the kids while the week ends with Tiranathlon. I think this week is a very good step to promote the cultural ties between Greece and Albania“, Says Sinkron Markella Megalokonomou, Consul at the Greek Embassy in Tirana.
In Farka Lake, painter Costa Zhonga is painting with children and teaching them how to make beautiful works.
“Together with the children we have created some works. We have mythological themes, Hercules, Zeus, beloved characters for children. The children are very happy, they came before me, they have a great desire for art”.
The International Cultural Weeks kicked off on April 25 and will run throughout the year, with 18 countries from around the world participating.
