“We have the issue of the situation in which we found ourselves recently, the extreme crimes of violence, given that part of the public demands an extreme toughening in the punishment of repeat perpetrators, at the same time it contains a certain standard and our process for the world we live in we want from the citizens their opinion “, said Rama.
The Prime Minister began his speech with a call to focus on cooperation for the good of the country and leaving behind the political quarrel that has always been between the government and the opposition and recently also within the Democratic Party.
“With a questionnaire we will give you, we will give life to a popular assembly. It’s time to put aside the pitfalls of political strife and think about the things that unite us beyond the many things that divide us in order to take important steps forward by advising together on decisions that have a direct impact on relationships of our common home, and certainly in the vital effort of this home to deepen achievements and address the wounds of injustice in the face of the struggle for justice“, Said Rama.

“Albania’s membership in the EU is linked to a veto imposed on Northern Macedonia by an eighth country and there is always more debate within the country that certainly can not be outside the government. There are people who say that Albania’s application should be separated from that of Macedonia, there are others who think that we can and should wait in order to maintain this cohesion and in view of the special relationship we have with Macedonia in the North. “We have six months ahead of us that will be of special importance, but we must address a question to the Albanians, we must be in a clear position whether the separation from Northern Macedonia will be required”, said Rama.
