The state of Kosovo has again banned the director of the Office for Kosovo from entering the Serbian executive, Petar Petkovic.
Petkovic himself complained from the Jarinje border crossing after being forced to turn back. He had planned a visit to the Devic Monastery, a seminar in Prizren and a stop at the returned Gligorijevic family in the village of Novak.
This is the sixth time that Petkovic has not been allowed to enter Kosovo. He has accused Prime Minister Kurti of violating free movement agreements.
“Today’s stop shows that Kurti is violating the agreements reached in Brussels and he does not intend to normalize relations between Belgrade and Pristina“, Said the official.
Petkovic was not allowed to enter the territory of Kosovo from December 2 at the Merdare border crossing.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed this to local media, saying that “it did not approve Petar Petkovic kërkes’s request to visit Kosovo on December 2nd and 3rd”.
Recently, the four ministers of the Republic of Kosovo, the Serbian authorities did not allow the planned visit to the Presevo Valley.
