In Gjirokastra, hundreds of Orthodox believers joined the Easter Mass in the Cathedral of the Nativity that lasted until after midnight.
Father Christostom who led this mass called for more peace and inner enlightenment and asked for more support for the weakest. He invited believers to receive light from the resurrection and to disperse it.
Orthodox believers who had gathered in Gjirokastra from the surrounding areas and hundreds of others returned from emigration exchanged congratulations for a better year, harmony and peace.
