A giant fire that broke out in an weapons production plant in the western Oblast region of Russia has left at least seven dead this afternoon, writes the British Daily Mail.
Four military scientists were reportedly thrown from the windows of the institute in the city of Tver where new weapons systems are being set up, while 25 people were reported injured.
The cause is not yet clear but it was reported about thick black to blue smoke coming out of the plant.
The development comes at a time when Russia is involved in the military offensive against Ukraine.
Initial reports said the fire started on the second floor of the research building.
Witnesses said people in the room where the fire broke out could not be evacuated so they were forced to jump out of windows.
There are still no official statements on the consequences. / DailyMail /
