Police in Germany were mocked by the media today as they were registered “measuring” social distance with meters long in their hands, among anti-restraint protesters in Frankfurt.
In funny pictures posted on social media, police officers were seen “checking” participants in the demonstration against forced vaccinations and Covid restrictions, with sticks in white and red stripes.
In the utopian footage police officers were seen placing the meter to keep the protesters 1.5 meters apart in Saturday’s protests.
Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Germany’s largest cities as well as major European cities over the weekend, protesting against forced vaccinations and the arbitrary conduct of governments on health policies.
Despite the low temperatures, in the Netherlands, Brussels and Germany the police used pressurized water in the protests with tens of thousands of people.
The Frankfurt protest was relatively small but nonetheless the participants were surprised when the police came in between the people to place their ‘visors’ 1.5 meters to measure the distance.
Anger has risen in Germany and Europe over the ban on the unvaccinated from public places in addition to essential shops such as markets, pharmacies and bakeries.
Schoolchildren should wear masks, although scientists say the lack of oxygen hinders their development.
The Bundestag has said it will vote on the law on compulsory vaccination next year.
Germany says 69 percent of the population is vaccinated, compared with 74 percent according to official figures in Italy or 70 percent in France and England.
