German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
During a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin this Friday, Scholz learned that he had asked Russia to stop the war in Ukraine.
In their nearly hour-long conversation, Scholz also stressed that the humanitarian situation must improve and progress must be made in finding a diplomatic solution as soon as possible.
