Two people were arrested by police this Wednesday, after being accused of organizing gambling.
The police informs that in the framework of the operation “Poker 2022”, E. Zh., 30 years old and MM, 26 years old, both residents of Berat, were arrested.
They are charged with the criminal offenses of “Organizing illegal lotteries”, “Making premises available for illegal games” and “Production and sale of narcotics”.
During the control exercised in the “Uznovë” neighborhood, in the restaurant owned by the citizen E. Zh., 415 grams of cannabis sativa, chips and a poker table used for organizing gambling were found and seized.
Also prosecuted for the criminal offense “Organization of illegal lotteries”, citizens KD, 25 years old, A. Gj., 43 years old, AH, 21 years old, NM, 20 years old, TP, 36 years old, GK, 36 years old, AM , 31 years old, FK, 25 years old, PL, 25 years old and RM, 26 years old, clients in the bar of the citizen E. Zh.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance Berat, for further procedural actions.
