On Wednesday our country will be engulfed by a heat wave that will bring high temperatures reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius.
This wave will be present during the weekend, while Tirana is one of the areas where the heat will be felt more.
“The heat wave has been present in the Iberian Peninsula for days and has brought high temperatures there. It will gradually shift towards the Apennine Peninsula and bring extreme temperatures. Its final part is expected to affect Albania as well. The impact of this wave with high temperatures will start on Wednesday, on Thursday it will go from 33-38 degrees Celsius. The most affected areas are expected to be Elbsani, Kuçova, Tirana, where these values will be recorded higher. By the weekend this trend is expected with slight drops in temperatures during the noon hours. “The beginning of next week is also expected to be under the influence of this heat wave.” said Gentiana Stafa from the Military Meteorological Service.
Our country will be covered by the periphery of this heat wave and will not last long, not even reaching the extreme temperatures as seen in Spain.
At the same time, it should be noted that in the northeastern part and in the part of the Alps, cloudy developments are expected, which will have isolated rain during the noon hours. “There will also be high-layer cloud cover developments, which will make it possible for this heat wave to be accompanied by humidity in the air that will make you feel something more than the recorded values.” said Stafa.
These temperatures are higher than normal for the month of June but will be present in our country until the end of the heat wave.
