In the framework of the end-of-year holidays, the State Police has considered it very necessary to take some additional measures.
The General Directorate of State Police has drafted a plan of measures with tasks for the structures at the central and local level, while each local structure has drafted its plan of measures, documents in which are defined the objectives and obligations for all its structures. , through which it is intended:
-Increasing the safety of life, preserving the property of citizens and securing important facilities, increasing the police presence throughout the territory, due to the fact that in case of holidays we have an increase in the number of citizens who return to their families to celebrate both Christmas and New Year;
-Providing timely information on the prevention of criminal events, identifying and keeping under control persons with criminal and criminal records, especially those citizens who return to celebrate in our country, identifying and keeping under surveillance the vehicles they use or the premises that frequent them, in order to prevent criminal events;
-Increasing the efficiency of police services, in recognizing the criminal operational situation, through coordination and effective cooperation of police structures, but also cooperation with other law enforcement agencies inside and outside the country, as well as with the District Prosecutor’s Offices;
-Monitoring the circulation of vehicles, increasing the police presence in all national, urban and intercity road axes, in the use of logistical means such as radars and draggers, to prevent the driving of the vehicle in a drunken state or at speeds above the allowed norms, in order to prevent road accidents;
-Creation of facilities at border crossing points, within the regulatory framework, in case there is an influx of inputs, adding human resources and infrastructure, as well as the application of facilitated border controls;
-Increase of vehicle control, based on risk analysis, in order to prevent and crack down on illegal trafficking, mainly narcotics, increase patrols at the green border, as well as cooperation and coordination of actions with counterparts of structures neighboring or international borders, for the prevention and suppression of cross-border crimes;
-Increasing controls against entities that trade fireworks, cooperating with other law enforcement structures. In this context, controls are being intensified to verify the conditions of production, storage, trade and use by licensed entities, pyrotechnics and fireworks, in order to prevent situations that harm the health of citizens.
