Four patients have lost the battle with the coronavirus, while 296 new infections have been added across the country in the last 24 hours.
122 positive cases have resulted in Tirana, 20 in Saranda, 19 in Vlora, 15 in Fier, 13 in Lushnje, 11 in Gjirokastra, 10 in Durres, by 7 citizens in Prrenjas, Gramsh, Kamza, by 4 citizens in Shkodra, Kurbin, Kruja, Vora, Elbasan, from 3 citizens in Kuçova, Tepelena, Përmet, Himara, Rrogozhina, Shijak, Mirdita, from 2 citizens in Puka, Lezha, Kavaja, Patos, Mallakastra, Delvina, Korca, from 1 citizen in Peqin, Belsh, Poliçan, Skrapar, Devoll, Dropull, Divjakë, Roskovec, Dibër, Kukës.
The victims are a 53-year-old woman from Berat, a 54-year-old woman from Kurbin, an 83-year-old citizen from Tirana and an 83-year-old citizen from Durrës.
Currently 129 patients are receiving treatment in COVID hospitals, of which 17 are in more serious condition.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are 8,773 active patients with Covid 19 nationwide.
In the last 24 hours, 835 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured to 256,117 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others. Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation.
The Ministry of Health reminds the citizens that the observance of the anti Covid protocols is a necessity for the protection of health. Mask placement is mandatory in any enclosed environment.
