In cooperation with the customs authorities at the entrance of the Republic of Albania, the bag of the African citizen EN, which had departed from Dubai, was passed for control on the second line. During the control of this citizen’s bag, the Police services found and seized 62000 euros, which this citizen had not declared. At the end of the investigative actions, the citizen EN, was prosecuted for the criminal offense “Failure to declare money and valuables at the border.”
Also, as a result of controls to increase passenger safety, a toy pistol was found and seized from an Egyptian citizen, who was on deportation order from Albania, issued by the Local Directorate for Border and Migration Korça. The Border Police Services in cooperation with the customs and the airport security, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, have checked the luggage of the Egyptian citizen NA, previously processed for illegal border crossing. During the search, a toy pistol was found and seized from this citizen, inserted in a leather case.
The Border Police services, in order to meet the conditions to travel to the SCHENGEN area, and to prevent travel or abandonment of children for asylum, have prosecuted the criminal offense “Abandonment of minor children”, citizen FA , 37 years old, resident in Tirana.
The proceedings for this citizen started, after she is suspected of having abandoned her 16-year-old minor son, in Germany.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
