Former BBC radio pedophile jailed for 12 years for monstrous child abuse (photos)

Mark Page, now 63, was found guilty of “serious sexual abuse” of children under the age of 12 by poor and underprivileged families in the Philippines.

The court was told that in one of the incidents, the monster Page had attempted to shop for the price of sexual abuse with a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy.

He said the price demanded by the gangs of 3,000 pesos (about $ 50 at the current exchange rate) was “too high”.

Divorced man, father of three children, was found guilty today of four cases of sexual abuse of children between 2016 and 2019.

Two of the charges were related to video links from his home computer camera, while the other two were related to his frequent visits to the Philippines.

One of the victims was a fatherless 13-year-old girl, the eldest of five children who already lives in a shelter for abused women.

The pedophile worked as a presenter on BBC Radio One in the 1980s and has a long career in the profession.

Page has denied the allegations, saying he was staged by computer hackers.

Judge Paul Watson jailed him for 12 years and gave him a life sentence for stopping sexual assault on minors.

The judge said: “The crimes you are convicted of are serious sexual abuse of minors. “Take advantage of the poverty and miserable situation of people in an underdeveloped country, where children are often forced to engage in prostitution.”

“Your sole purpose was to involve young children up to the age of 12 in dirty sexual acts to satisfy your evil appetites, depriving them of childhood innocence and causing them severe long-term emotional trauma.”

“You seem to be content with their shame and the fulfillment of your corrupt desires, you are the personification of misery and monstrosity.”

Convict Page referred to his frequent trips to the Philippines as “charity work, before concerns arose over the network about incriminating messages between the accused and contacts of abuse.
