Four people have been handcuffed in Lezha for forging documents, after a three-month investigation by the police.
Pertef Musabelli, Henri Haxhiraj, Arjan Refugjati, all three residents of Tirana and Erigesji Moriga, residents of Korça, were arrested, while Artur Terziu, resident of Elbasna, and Ilir Mata, resident of Tirana, were declared wanted.
During the operation, a laboratory was discovered that was used for the production of foreign identification documents, suspected forged, and an environment where the suspected activity of computer fraud against foreign nationals was exercised.

During the checks carried out in several premises in Lezha, Tirana and Elbasan, were found and seized as material evidence: Bulgarian passport and identity card, Spanish identity card, passport, Italian identity card and driving license, photocopies of foreign and Albanian documents, Albanian passports, certificates, 11 computer units, bank cards, laptops, USB containing personal data of some foreign nationals deceived by the above-mentioned citizens, benefiting from many different monetary amounts ranging from 500-300,000 euros.
The investigative materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Lezha Judicial District, for the criminal offenses “Forgery of identity cards, passports or visas”, “Computer fraud”, “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, “Concealment of income”, “Employment of illegal ”and“ Non-payment of taxes and fees ”.
