Agim Rada has turned the lobby of his house into a museum called “Forbidden Colors”.
A proof of the time of dictatorship. A time that according to the artist tried to ban their colors and verses, but they lived in the name of free thought. This opinion is the example of this museum house that with instillations and murals presents the dehumanization of that period.
An artist who lived in communist times, a contemporary of a number of painters and sculptors convicted of dictatorship. Rada opens the doors of his house to a memory dedicated to important art figures who suffered the consequences of communism. At the center is this reproduction of this masterpiece by Edison Gjergo that cost the artist 15 years in prison.
The whole exhibition hall is covered with mural frescoes. Artist Rada painting ten years ago, as well as Big Brother’s eye according to Orwell.
Documents of convicted artists, including film material, accompany these frescoes.
