Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s luxury residence in Montecito, California was burglarized not once, but twice in 12 days, according to the Sun newspaper. Thieves tried to break into the residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, where they live with their son Archie, 3, and Lilybet, 1.
In both cases, the police were called, according to the same information. The first time police arrived at Meghan and Harry’s residence was on May 19, at 6pm. In fact, this special date holds a special meaning for the couple as they celebrate their wedding anniversary. The second time authorities arrived was on May 31, shortly after 3 p.m.
It was the day the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the US for the UK, along with their two children, to attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Meghan and Harry’s home has been the target of burglars several times. The Santa Barbara Police Department received 6 calls from the Duke and Duchess’ security men over a 14-month period.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved into their gorgeous mansion in June 2020. The mansion has a Spa, tennis court and a private playground for their children. Please note that Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Ellen DeGeneres are some of the couple’s neighbors.
We recall that an aide to the royal family allegedly expressed her conviction that Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle will end in tears. According to a report, Susan Hussey, who has been Queen Elizabeth II’s assistant host since the 1960s, allegedly made the comments during a lunch with theater executives a few months before the couple’s wedding in May 2018.
