The mother of two children, divorced from her husband due to violence, lives in survival conditions with her two daughters. He has not paid his alimony for 2 and a half years. He passed the restaurant in his father’s name and works illegally so that he has no income in his bank accounts.
In an interview for Fiks Fare, the mother of two girls aged 7 and 10 shows that they live in very difficult economic conditions, as the ex-husband who systematically raped her and the girls refuse to pay alimony. For both girls, the court has decided that he must pay 250 thousand old lekë every month. But in two and a half years he has paid nothing. Bank seizures have also been imposed on him, but there is no income in the bank. The mother filed a complaint for non-payment and the court imposed a fine of 500 thousand old lek, but even this did not force the father to pay the debt to his daughters.
The mother says that she beat the three of them, with her fists and hit her head against the wall, so she was forced to leave, even though she built the house where they lived with 15 thousand euros that she brought when they got married. Faced with the situation when her ex-husband does not declare his income, even though he is the owner of a restaurant and a house that he has placed on behalf of his father, she was forced to complain to Fiks Fare. She says that she works with a minimum wage and has tried to feed her only daughters, but in these conditions it is impossible.
The girls’ mother has recorded her ex-husband in a conversation where he accepts everything. He tells her that he works, but that he does not intend to give her any money. He also tells her that it is true that I beat you, but I did it wrong. During the conversation he insists that he will not give any money until the girls turn 18 years old. He also admits that when they got married his wife gave him another 15 thousand euros for the construction of their house, but that today neither she nor the girls can enjoy it. This is because he has placed both the house and the bar in the name of his father.
Fiks’ co-worker goes to meet her ex-husband near his bar where she works in the black.
He finds the restaurant closed at first, but the residents who are there confirm that the restaurant is run by the owner and is not there at the moment. After they call him, he comes and admits that he works in the bar for weddings, vaki and coffee. Shows that with the situation now, the profit is not big, but postponed. “I found it closed because I had some personal work in the city,” he claims. The restaurant is located on a national road and serves both coffee and cuisine. He admits that he works by himself and even has a chef.
All these conversations confirm the fact that the father of the girls, the abusive ex-husband does not want to pay the alimony and above all he is hiding the income and assets so that the daughters and the ex-wife do not benefit anything. According to him, this was the path she herself chose, so in a way she is penalizing him, forgetting that those who are suffering are his two minor daughters.
