While the beaches are full and vacationers find it difficult to find the public beaches, the Durrës police have increased controls on the coastline, in order to free up public spaces. The coded police operation “Free Coast” has freed several occupied spaces in the Porto Romano area.
Five administrators of entities that had occupied the public space with deckchairs and umbrellas, placed without the relevant permit, and 400 sets of umbrellas and deckchairs were seized on the 5 illegal beaches.
In support of the Durrës police, there were also the municipal police officers.
At the end of the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the prosecutor’s office and the criminal proceedings started for BC citizens, 36 years old, resident in Tirana; F. Rr., 27 years old, LB, 24 years old, ES, 46 years old and HL, 35 years old, all four living in Durrës.
