Seven members of the Pireva family were inside the building that caught fire at noon on Thursday in the Tophane neighborhood in Pristina.
At the sight of the smoke, they left the building, but a ten-year-old remained trapped inside.
His uncle, Basri Pireva, says they had to find alternative ways to evacuate the minor from the building.
None of the family members were injured in the fire that engulfed the four-story building. After they left the building, firefighters intervened to extinguish the fire that seems to have started on the ground floor and quickly spread to the roof, but the causes are still unknown.
After the fire was extinguished, police, firefighters and KEDS investigators came to the scene to carry out the necessary investigations.
