The risk from social networks that threatens children and adolescents increases every day, with the use of various applications, which allows them not only to communicate but also to bully, threaten, or insult each other without being identified.
Such is the application “Tellonym” which from the name itself allows you to write and be “secret”.
But not only that, in this application many children in Tirana have fallen prey to bullying.
Pages opened by school students have caused peers to label each other with adjectives with whom they have established intimate relationships at school and beyond.
Fiksi observed for days these sites which serve no other purpose than to label and slander each other, certainly utilizing the anonymity provided by the application.
The vocabulary used by teenagers and juveniles across statuses is banal and offensive.
Many statuses read threats that teenagers make to each other, where they necessarily seek identity in order to seek revenge.
Fix’s investigation began after many parents sought the help of journalists because institutions did not operate and children did not go to school. So Fiksi brought the several days observation he made to these sites, bringing some of the statuses.
But not only that the journalists asked for an answer from the National Agency for Child Protection, who not only were not aware of the problem, but asked for the addresses of the linked sites in order to address them to close them, so the work of theirs was nothing more than copying this link which they undertook to do after the journalists sent it to them.
Meanwhile, Tomi Kallanxhi, IT expert, told Fiks that although the statuses are anonymous, you can go to the person who opens these pages, because according to him if a request is made to the application they respond, AKEP can also close them .
While psychologist Denada Toçe raises the alarm that these applications should be closed. “There have been many cases where children do not want to go to school because of bullyingSays Ms. Toçe.
Faced with these facts, the journalists of Fiks asked for an answer from the National Agency for Children, where the latter says that it has no knowledge of the case, and if the journalists send the links to the addresses, then their closure will be addressed.
In addition to these, although there have been dozens of denunciations of cases in the State Police, this institution does not respond to Fiks journalists.
