The World Cup, Qatar 2022 is on the horizon and the host country is taking the last steps to make this event a real innovation.
But, at the moment, one of the main problems remains the accommodation of the fans.
FIFA has revealed a “city” that plans to host fans and it is not about hotels.
We are talking about a tented camping area in Al Khor, but not ordinary, as a reservation will cost about 350 pounds per night
In Qatar, hotel bookings are limited as there has been tremendous demand and Al Khor is expected to be the cheapest form of accommodation for any fans.
However, we are not talking about simple tents, as for every angle that will be reserved there, it will be a beautiful experience and memory. The tents are spacious, have air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. In addition, there is the luxury of a TV, a hairdryer, ironing facilities, a fridge, a safe and even Wi-Fi, conditions offered in a typical hotel room.
Al Khor is just 40 minutes away from the capital Doha and will host 9 matches including one of this year’s World Cup semi-finals.
FIFA has described the accommodation as a unique experience that will allow fans to connect with Qatari culture.
Fan Al Khor Village offers a unique Arabian camping experience that reflects and embraces Qatari traditions, with a fantastic blend of contemporary amenities and traditional style. Called the “village of fans” it is very close to Farkiah beach, which allows an extraordinary connection with nature, culture and the beauty of golden sands.
Al Bayt Stadium and the city of Al Khor will host these matches during the World Cup:
Qatar – Ecuador, Morocco – Croatia, England – United States of America, Spain – Germany, Netherlands – Qatar, Costa Rica – Germany and then a match in the stages, 1/16, quarter-finals and semi-finals.
