Fier police have identified and handcuffed two suspected perpetrators of arson in Roms Farm where 3000 Paulonja trees were burned and in the village of Kolonjë where 1 hectare of pine trees was burned.
Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes in the Fier Police Commissariat, following the work for the detection and bringing to justice the perpetrators of the arson, made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen KM, 60 years old and the citizen Sh. B., 57 years old, resident in Kolonjë, Lushnjë.
The 60-year-old was caught red-handed after lighting several fires in the village of Fermë Roms, and as a result 3,000 Paulonja trees were burned. While the citizen Sh. B., 57 years old, in the hills of the village of Kolonjë, had lit a fire on his land, the fire went out of control and a hectare of pine forest was burned, endangering the protected area of the “Monastery Park”.
Further, the Local Police Directorate of Fier appeals to all residents, in no case to cause arson, as they will face the law.
