A jealous father executed his daughter at gunpoint by shooting her 20 times when she refused to tell him where the mother was after the separation.
Mustafa Ali Yilmaz, 69, crashed into his daughter’s car in Balikesir, Turkey, pulled her out of the vehicle and asked her for his ex-wife’s address.
28-year-old Gulnur Yilmaz, a general practitioner, was traveling from Balikesir to Antalya for a qualifying exam with two of her friends on June 27, 2019.
His father had chased him with his car, and then crashed him out of the way.
Local media reported that he had further forcibly pulled his daughter out of the car, asking her to know where her mother was.
When the girl refused to tell he had shot her with 20 bullets, 11 of which in the head.
The father walked away from the screening scene but was further apprehended by local police still with the crime pistol in hand.
The victim’s mother Gulden Yilmaz was divorced from him in January 2019.
During the court hearing in Balikesir Burhaniye, Yilmaz claimed to have mental instability.
The trial has been suspended to make a psychological assessment of the accused.
Last month a man beheaded his wife in Istanbul when he learned he was communicating with a male friend on Instagram.
