Already another service is coming to the aid of Albanian emigrants living on the islands of Greece has been added by the Albanian embassy there.
For more than a week, the staff of our embassy in the neighboring country has been with our compatriots living in the Aegean islands, to provide them with all the consular services and the provision of passports and identity cards, without having to travel to Athens or hometown, which saves money and working days.
It was the Albanian ambassador in Athens, Luela Hajdaraga, who led the teams of diplomats and embassy staff in the islands of Rhodes and Crete, while the embassy project to provide services to immigrants will be extended to other islands and areas of Greece.
The pace of work has been intense, with each team handling more than 200 passport applications per day, enabling more than 1,000 passport applications, as well as dozens of other consular services.
Our Ambassador to Greece did not miss the opportunity to meet with the highest local authorities in the islands of Rhodes and Crete.
In these meetings they talked about the cooperation between the local authorities and the Albanian emigrants living in these areas, who are already considered by the locals as an important part of the Greek society.
