Residents of Porto Romano woke up alarmed this morning as gas tanks were engulfed in flames.
The fire was quickly brought under control, but residents are appealing for more security. “I was asleep at about half past eight. I have two minor children, a 7 and a 4 year old. The neighbor called me because the gas cylinders were exploding. I went out on the balcony, I saw black smoke and people running. I panicked. I picked up the crying kids and we left.
The alarm went off at night. We smelled gas and other times. “My children are sick, I took them to the hospital.”says a resident.
