Two days after reaching an agreement on electricity in the north of the country, the building of the Serbian company “Elektro – Kosmet” in North Mitrovica was attacked with an explosive device.
Kosovo Police were informed that the electric transformer that was near the electricity distribution caught fire on Thursday evening.
The first suspicions of the Kosovo Police were that the fire started from the electrical voltage, however after inspecting the scene it was found that the building was attacked with an explosive device.
According to the police, it is not about injuries, but only material damage. Authorities still have no suspects in the incident. However, Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla blamed parallel structures in the North for the attack.
Meanwhile, on Friday, the Energy Regulatory Office in Kosovo, after two years, has licensed the company “ElektroSever” to operate in this part. ERO issued the license for “ElektroSever” for a period of five years, adding that it will not regulate the prices at which the company will operate in the four northern municipalities.
With the guide signed in Brussels, “ElektroSever” must provide data to customers within seven days of licensing. After 10 days I will sign a cooperation contract with KEDS and KOSTT in order to operate according to the laws in Kosovo and within 30 days from the signing of the agreement with the Kosovar companies, “ElektroSever”, will be given under control the Vallaç substation in way to start work.
