The European Cartoon Fund has brought to the Tirana Gallery a series of original cartoons in the “Euro Humor” exhibition.
One of the exhibition spaces is dedicated to several Ukrainian artists, who bring different themes, among them war and peace.
“We are in a hall of artists from Ukraine. The works in question belong to an artist from Ukraine, Yuri Kosobukin. is a famous cartoonist and I insisted that he bring the Italian Eurohumor to this room precisely to pay homage to his work. Along with two or three other perpetrators from Ukraine who strangely shot the same day of the inauguration when the war in Ukraine started. “One theme was ‘war and peace’ that Yuri Kosobukin has drawn two gentlemen giving a dove in a cage to each other,” said painter Agim Sulaj.
The artist Agim Sulaj himself, known for his hyperrealistic style, but also for his sharp humor in cartoons, has presented a series of works.
“I have 18 works and they are works that have been evaluated internationally. with topics such as poverty, war, the future of children, censorship and are topics painted in my style “, said the painter.
This exhibition is curated by Gianni Martini and Abaz Hado, also director of the Tirana Gallery.
“A large fund of Eurohumor in original cartoons is brought for the first time. “We also have some reproductions of the hosten magazine from the archive”, he said Abaz Hado, director of GAT.
