The Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations has decided that for reasons of transparency, the identity card of each voter should be photographed in the referendum that is being held for the dismissal of Lulzim Basha as chairman of the Democratic Party.
As of 08:00 on Sunday, members of the Democratic Party have begun to participate in the referendum on the dismissal of the party leader, Lulzim Basha.
The referendum was called after the Assembly convened by the signatures of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. The voting process in all branches of the Democratic Party in the districts is expected to end at 17:00.
There are 106 polling stations across the country. There are 22 centers in the district of Tirana, where the former Prime Minister Berisha also voted in the center no.2.
The Re-establishment Commission has also set up the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations, which will deal with the direction of the process, chaired by Albana Vokshi. While members are: Ervin Minarolli, Enno Bozdo, Edith Harxhi and Keltis Kruja.
