In one of the few and rare interviews, Era Istrefi spoke today about her life and career in “Let me talk”.
The singer remembered one of the most culminating moments in her career, when in 2018, together with Will Smith and Nicky Jam, they sang the “FIFA World Cup” anthem.
“I am very, very honored to be the first Albanian to make history with the World Cup 2018. For me, it is very ‘big’. I am extremely pleased“, said the artist.
Era tells how the singer was chosen among 30 to sing “Live It Up”.
“I was selected among 30 singers, a singer who sings that song the best would be chosen. You can imagine how happy I was when he chose me. When they called me at the beginning and told me will you be part of the World Cup, I said I don’t want to. But I was told not to be too happy because it is a competition with many competitors. I gave the maximum of talent, energy, everything I had. I worked for 12 hours and manifested it, believed it and it happened”.
But what did she think when she found out that she was chosen?
“I didn’t think with ego, I thought with my best, deepest feeling, which I have inside, when an elusive dream comes true”, replies Era.
