The Government of Kosovo during the 51st meeting has decided to declare an emergency energy situation, which will be valid for 60 days.
According to the document published by the Office of the Prime Minister, emergency measures in energy supply include imposing restrictions on energy supply to consumers and imposing special obligations on energy enterprises.

“Such an announcement does not mean taking immediate action, but it does mean taking action to supply customers. Approval of this decision means immediate implementation of the measures. Proposing this means imposing measures within 60 days from the entry into force, but the Assembly can continue this situation“, Said Rizvanolli.
“The approval of this decision does not mean that the measures will be imposed immediately, but it gives the right to the Government to take measures as needed, so I invite you to approve this decision.“, She added.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, thanked his counterpart in Albania, Edi Rama, for the two days of donating electricity that the Albanian Government will make to the Kosovar for December 31 and January 1.
“Albania also does not have any abundance to help us, but in its conditions and difficulties it has expressed a readiness that is of course to be thanked and appreciated.”.
The two countries are complementary in production methodology, he said at a press conference.
