Presidential and parliamentary elections are taking place in Kosovo today, where there are also Kosovo Albanians, who intend to be part of the Serbian parliament after these elections.
One of them is the candidate for MP Shpëtim Haliti, who spoke to the media where he said that in parliament he will represent the voice of the citizens of the Presevo Valley.
He also spoke about the passivity of settlements, which he sees as ethnic cleansing that can only be prevented by sensitizing the international community.
Journalist: Do you exercise your right to vote, what are the demands you had the most from the citizens when you decided to run for MP and what is your goal if you win?
Shpëtim Haliti: Thank you, I have fulfilled my obligation, I invite all the citizens of Presevo to fulfill their obligation for the right to vote and to choose who will represent them in the next four years in the Serbian parliament. We as a parliamentary list have the legitimate demands of the citizens of the Presevo Valley as we have had 30 years in political activity, especially recently due to discrimination in Serbian politics, I do not believe that we will be part of the central government but we will be the voice of the citizens as we have been in recent years, as has been the deputy Shaip Kamberi.
Journalist: How do you see the passivity part, what is your main goal since there are 6 thousand Albanian citizens in the Presevo Valley?
Shpëtim Haliti: We see the passivity of addresses as ethnic cleansing by administrative methods and we can prevent it only by sensitizing the international factor as we recognize Serbia as a state and we know how important our demands are in Serbia, practically no weight is taken.
