Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke to the media after the meeting of the SP leadership for the National Consultation and the March 6 elections. Rama said that the National Consultation is held to get an opinion from the citizens, while for the elections he said that they will participate, they will respect the deadlines.
Asked if there will be mainly women, Rama said with conviction that he continues to stick to the position that between 10 men and a woman, he chooses the latter.
Rama: They will go to all the families and through the digital channel, they will be able to participate in this Counseling and I invite everyone to do it. It’s something friendly to advise on some issues that is not that we lack cartoons, but we need to get an opinion of citizens beyond parties, trenches and the whole space of politics.
It is not a tactical need, but a real need to have a clear idea of what people think regardless of the parties. Regarding the decision to hold elections in 6 municipalities, we have started organizing, it is a process where we will be part, we will respect the deadlines, we will present the candidates.
Question: Will there be mostly women?
Rama: I do not think we will have deputies in this race and this is the opinion of the presidency. As for women, you know that between a woman and 10 men, I choose a woman.
As for the second chances, Rama said that he does not give opportunities to anyone who has put them in a difficult position with the citizens.
Rama: The second chances are given in individual relationships, we can give each other when we are friends and the second chance is then given by God, while the SP does not give second chances to anyone who has put him in a difficult position by lying. There is no second chance for anyone for all those who have problems with the law of purity.
