Messages of peace, love, unity and solidarity were given in the Great Mosque in Prishtina during the Eid prayer
“It cultivates love, the respect of grandchildren for grandparents and vice versa, it cultivates the respect and care of parents for children, it cultivates the support and solidarity for those in need. “Also, the Eid al-Fitr holiday unites the community by promoting and cultivating a sense of understanding, tolerance, harmony, respect and generosity, values that ennoble the individual and society as a whole,” said Ternava.
The Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava said that believers have an obligation to carefully maintain the balance between material and spiritual, human and selfish.
“When we are celebrating Eid al-Fitr today, when we are enjoying the benefits of this holiday, in many countries of the world, we have conflicts, wars and bloodshed, where the innocent population is facing injustice, expulsion, murder and destruction. This is not the mission of man in this world, this is not our mission in this life. Thus do not the books of God teach us, nor did the prophets teach us.
On this great day from this country, we pray that wars and conflicts stop in the hearths of crisis, we pray that peace and tranquility be established in those countries, we pray that the elderly, the innocent children are not affected. Peace and love for all, not conflicts, hatred and impatience.
To achieve these values, humanity needs more than ever to know and assimilate the divine teachings, the messages of the prophets, and our positive traditions, which are not few. More than ever we need unity and solidarity. “Recently, in addition to conflicts and wars, the world is also facing social growth that endangers the middle economic strata of the population.”said Ternava.
On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the BIK leadership organized a reception where the first to visit was a Catholic. Bishop Dodë Gjergji, from where he wished all Muslim believers the feast of Eid al-Fitr.
“Wishing you all our people, people who celebrate prosperity, peace, comfort, understanding. It is a holiday where according to Fishta, we celebrate Eid and Easter together because we are all brothers and we continue to pray for each other, wishing all our people, people who celebrate prosperity, peace, comfort, understanding, reconciliation, forgiveness and joy for everyone ”said George.
Congratulations also came to the believers from the heads of state and politicians in Kosovo.
