An old building was engulfed in flames this morning in Durrës.
The three-storey building engulfed in flames is located near the boulevard “Dyrrah” in the 11th district of the coastal city. Smoke has spread throughout the surrounding area as firefighters have intervened to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
While work is underway to uncover the causes that led to the fire, it is previously suspected that it was the homeless who use the uninhabited building to spend the night.
Some of them may have lit a fire to withstand the high temperatures of the night and then left carelessly, without turning it off.
