The head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, demanded that the list of discussants in the Assembly be closed and that a direct vote on the draft resolution in support of Ukraine be voted on.
“The Assembly is better than talking and will speak with the text of this resolution, what else does it mean, to go to the polls and not to continue the discussions”said Balla.
“The discussion can not be interrupted, if they themselves do not withdraw”said Sali Berisha.
“Nobody interrupts the speech to the deputies”said Tritan Shehu.
Below is the agreed variant of Draft Resolution “ON SUPPORTING THE SOVEREIGNTY AND TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF UKRAINE AND THE PROTECTION OF THE PRINCIPLES OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AND EUROPEAN SECURITY” between the four parliamentary groups expected to be approved today.
A few days ago, Balla submitted the draft resolution to the chairmen of the parliamentary groups of the Democratic Party, the “Alliance for Change” and the “Democracy and Integration”.
The draft resolution lists several points, among which the commitment of Albania continues, in close coordination with all allied countries and partners in NATO, the EU and other partners in support of Ukraine.
The draft resolution has been consulted in advance with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Foreign Policy.
Tensions on Ukrainian territory are growing, as we are on the 12th day of the war.
