Srdjan Djokovic, the father of Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, spoke about the treatment of his son in Melbourne, saying it was an “attempted murder” before his deportation.
Djokovic, who opposes vaccination against Covid-19, has been forced to leave Australia after his visa was revoked twice in two weeks.
Srdjan has complained about the Australian government’s decision to expel Djokovic a day before the start of the Australian Open 2022. But he could focus on the French Open to be held in May.
Speaking after the Federal Court ruling, Srdjan said strong words about his son’s treatment.
“The attempt to kill the best athlete in the world is over. 50 bullets in Novak’s chest. See you in Paris “, said Srdjan.
The 34-year-old, who has publicly opposed the Covid-19 vaccine, was stopped by Australian border officials shortly after arriving in Melbourne on January 6 and has been in a state of shock for 10 days.
