Died at the age of 91 Nino Cerruti, one of the great Italian fashion stylists and entrepreneurs.
He died at a hospital in Piedmont.
He always insisted on first proving his creations. Many of them were kept in the textile factory that his grandfather founded in the town of Biella in 1881.
“I have always worn the same person, myself,” he once said, according to the AFP news agency.
With his experience in the production of fine fabrics in his family’s textile factory, Cerruti entered the garment business in the late 1950s.
