After the victories in court for the accusations of defamation with Jorida Tabaku, Grida Duma and Lulzim Basha’s brother-in-law, Erion Isufi, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj has won another legal battle with the Democratic Party itself.
The Court of Tirana has accepted the request of the Prosecution to terminate the investigation regarding the allegations of the Democratic Party in the report filed in SPAK, signed by its Secretary General, Gazmend Bardhi. In this report it was claimed that Veliaj and Minister Manastirliu used the public post in the elections of April 25, 2021.
In the request addressed to the court, the Prosecution states that there is no evidence that Mayor Veliaj and Minister Manastirliu have used public office and abused their office, calling Bardhi’s accusations untrue and unfounded in law and evidence.
