The Ministry of Agriculture has reacted this Wednesday for the dead chickens, clarifying that there are no cases of bird flu.
“The Ministry of Agriculture through the National Agency of Veterinary and Plant Protection and the Institute for Food Safety and Veterinary informs the public that there is no case of the presence of avian influenza (bird flu) in Albania so far.
After analyzes performed on three different dates and with over 60 samples, the results obtained from the samples sent by the National Agency of Veterinary and Plant Protection to the laboratory certified at the Institute for Food Safety and Veterinary categorically exclude avian influenza viral disease .
The results of the analysis in the reference laboratory confirm that there are no diseases that endanger the consumer or food products of poultry origin.
We would like to inform you that the suspected cases are located in only 2-3 establishments in a single area.
“The National Veterinary Agency and Plant Protection and the Institute for Food Safety and Veterinary are under constant monitoring and are conducting checks to verify the reasons for this epizootic situation”, it is said in the reaction.
