For 27 days, Ukraine has been facing Russian forces trying to invade the country, while US President Joe Biden has warned that Russia could use biological and chemical weapons in its eastern neighbor.

A day earlier, 8,000 people had been evacuated from conflict zones, according to officials in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has again called for direct talks with Putin, stressing that the war could not end if they did not meet face to face.
