The 79th tour of the Cycling of Albania has started, where unlike other years in this tour there will be 15 European countries participating in it. There will be about 200 cyclists who will take part in this activity which in its special edition, will have valuable international points for future activities and this is the main reason for the participation of so many countries in it.
The start of the first stage, as it has become a tradition, has already been made from Mother Terza Square and will end in the city of Korca, a total distance of 161 km. This stage is considered to be of medium difficulty by cycling specialists, but, despite the race, it requires a maximum commitment of the state police, which will control the progress of the stage, stage by stage, limiting the traffic in the cities where cyclists will pass.
From Korca then the second stage will be Korca-Elbasan to then descend to Vlora Gjirokastra and will lower the bar in the city of Fier. The whole cycling circle will have a distance of 980 km.
from Albania there will be two participating teams, both the national team and the Tirana team, significantly increasing the competition for the first prizes to remain within our cycles. An extra motivation will be the financial rewards which in total are about 37 thousand euros.
